Important Dual Enrollment Updates for Summer and Fall Classes

Given the current situation, Dual Enrollment registration procedures for Summer and Fall 2020 classes will differ slightly from the norm.  The registration procedure will be as follows:

  1. Student contacts their counselor and lets the counselor know they would like to register for a Summer or Fall Dual Enrollment class.
  2. If the student is a first-time Dual Enrollment student, they will complete the Dual Enrollment application at www.hccfl.edu/admissions/apply-online.
  3. Counselor will verify that the student has met Dual Enrollment eligibility requirements:
  • 3.0 unweighted GPA
  • College Ready Test Scores
    • PERT – 106 Reading, 103 Writing, 114 Math
    • SAT – 24 Reading Subtest, 24 Math Subtest
    • ACT – 19 Reading, 17 English, 19 Math
    • Note that College Algebra requires a 123 PERT Math, a 27 SAT Math Subtest, or a 21 ACT Math
  1. Counselor will send the Form B (Dual Enrollment registration form) to the student.
  2. Student will complete both pages of the Form B and email them back to the counselor.
  3. Counselor will email completed Form B to HCC.
  4. If the student has PERT scores, HCC will automatically access those scores.  If the student has ACT or SAT scores, the student will send a copy of their score report to dualenrollment@hccfl.edu.
  5. HCC will email student with next steps to register for their Dual Enrollment class.
