Summer Community Service Opportunity

At the American Lung Association, with our office located in downtown Tampa at 100 S. Ashley Drive on the second floor of the Wells Fargo Building, we are actively searching for volunteers for weekdays between the hours of 8:30-4:30 this summer. At our downtown office, volunteers will gain insight to the nonprofit sector and works towards a unified vision of a world free of lung disease.

Students can get valuable and real life experience outside of volunteer service hours. Students will be able to experience office life, practice business etiquette, and learn how to cultivate relationships with donors and partners. This is a rewarding experience to know your work is helping cure lung diseases, promote clean air, and encourage a smoke free lifestyle for children.

Interested students can volunteer Monday-Friday in shifts of four hours 8:30am-12:30pm and 12:30pm-4:30pm. Please submit online application to http://www.lung.org/get-involved/volunteer/sign-up-to-volunteer.html and an informational in-person interview will be conducted prior to beginning their volunteer work. Also, attached is a volunteer application if students are unable to apply online and wish to mail in their applications to our office.

The American Lung Association is willing to streamline the Bright Futures volunteer hours process by helping with any paper work and any related required preliminary items.

Please contact Michael Mozzicato at (813) 712-2307 or tampabayintern@lungse.org with any questions.
