Florida State University's CARE (Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement) Program application is currently open, and the priority deadline is October 19th, 2016. The CARE Summer Bridge program provides a comprehensive program of orientation and support for first-generation (neither parent has a bachelor's degree) college students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Duke University will be hosting an on-campus open house for their Trinity College of Arts and Sciences. The open house will be held on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 from 8:00 am - 2:30 pm. Participants will learn more about Trinity's flexible curriculum and immersive humanities experiences; participate in sample classes; tour West Campus; and learn about Duke's admissions and financial aid processes.

Cimino Elementary School will be hosting a paint night on Friday, October 7th, 2016. Volunteers are needed to help set up from 4:00-6:00 pm, during the event from 6:00-7:30, and to help clean up after the even concludes.
