ASVAB is TOMORROW, Tuesday, 12-1!

Both elearnering & Brick & Mortar students that signed up for the ASVAB should...

...report to the auditorium TOMORROW morning, Tuesday, Dec. 1st, at 8:30am. Spring Dual Enrollment Deadlines

Students who are planning on registering for dual enrollment classes for the Spring of 2021 must submit dual enrollment paperwork to HCC no later than Friday, December 4th, 2020, and must enroll in their courses no later than Friday, December 11th, 2020. The Spring dual enrollment schedule is available on HCC's website (www.hccfl.edu)  See your counselor for more information, eligibility requirements, and to obtain registration paperwork.

College APP Week...College Application Thursday!

-Senior English classes will meet in the library to get help with college apps or other options (military, tech school, cosmetology school, etc…)

-Done with college apps?  You will apply for the HEF scholarships and/or get FAFSA help!

-Seniors without an English class?  You will receive a pass to come during another period

-Anyone who completes a college app, other option, FAFSA, or the HEF scholarship, will be entered in next Friday's raffle!

College App Week...Financial Future Wednesday!

Stop by guidance (during your lunch or after school) and answer monetary/benefit questions about your chosen career, on the “Financial Future Plans” form and you will be entered in next Friday’s raffle!  Not sure of the answers?  Hop on Google and do some research!  Hint…bls.gov is a good place to find salary info.  This will help you figure out if your lifestyle plans match up w/ your career plans.

College App Week...Trivia Tuesday!

In the last 5-10 minutes of 2nd period, your teacher will display on the elmo/read aloud/Zoom, the 10 college trivia questions (multiple choice & true/false). 

As a class, quickly select your answers (NO Internet assistance) and your teacher will email them to Mrs. Edgeman.

The top 5 classes (the ones that get the most correct) will be entered in a raffle next Friday for a special treat!  Correct answers will be announced on next Monday’s morning show along with the winning class!

Class of 2021 Rank Freeze Date

Seniors, the Rank Freeze date for the class of 2021 will be Friday, February 26th, 2021.  Grades from virtual and dual enrollment courses must be received with an “Issue Date” no later than Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 to be included in the final GPA calculation for class rank. Plan ahead and make sure you’re finishing your virtual courses on time.

NACAC Virtual College Fair - Sunday, November 8th

NACAC will host their next virtual college fair on Sunday, November 8th from 2 pm - 10 pm.  Interested students can sign up online at www.virtualcollegefairs.org.  Students can choose from thousands of Zoom sessions offered by more than 600 colleges and universities.  Participants will learn about majors and programs, admission, financial aid and scholarships, and more.
