About the Congress-Bundestag Scholarship for
U.S. Students

Jointly funded by the German Bundestag and the U.S. Congress, the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (CBYX) is a full scholarship exchange program that offers young Americans the opportunity to live with a host family and attend high school in Germany for a year. You could be one of 50 students chosen to represent the Southeast United States as a CBYX youth ambassador. Become fluent in German, learn another culture and expand your horizons to the world!

Applying is simple, but to be eligible you must be a U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, and be between the ages of 15 and 18 and 6 months (student to be born between January 30, 1997 and August 1, 2000) by the start of the program in August 2015. Best of all, German language is not required!
