Earn Community Service Hours!

Dear Bloomingdale Students and Parents:

The Hillsborough Education Foundation will be hosting its 3rd annual “Strides for Education Walk” at the Tampa Bay Times Forum Plaza on Saturday, November 1st to support student scholarships at Hillsborough County middle and high schools, including Bloomingdale. 100% of additional funds raised go towards Bloomingdale’s own scholarship fund. To that end, any Bloomingdale students that participate can earn a minimum of 20 hours of community service, by helping to plan, organize, and fundraise or simply by being a part of Bloomingdale’s team. Students can actively participate by registering to be an actual walker on November 1st, or by supporting our school with any additional fundraising activities. There is a $25 registration fee to walk, which includes a t-shirt and other goodies.  Additionally, all Bloomingdale seniors can currently apply for the Bloomingdale scholarship. Students in 9th and 10th grades with financial need and a 2.7+ GPA or higher can apply for prepaid scholarships through HEF as well.
