Summer Employment Opportunities

We are excited to announce the “Go2Work Tampa Bay” program for CTE high school students. This program is designed to prepare students for the workforce, and provide a centralized website to view job postings that have been specifically designed for local high school students.

If you are interested in pursuing employment, now is your opportunity to participate in Phase 2 of this program. In order to apply for summer employment through this program, please do the following:
1) Navigate your web browser to www.Go2WorkTampaBay.com.
2) Click on the Career Cluster to search for job postings in that area.
3) If interested in applying, carefully review the posting for its specific application process.
4) If you do obtain a position, either through this website or another method, see the next section for the process to register for the summer OJT course.

Our Summer OJT/Internship Teacher-Coordinators are trained to assist you and your employer, and can answer any specific work-related questions that you may have. Their contact information is listed below. Please email them as soon as you know where you will be working or if you need further assistance in your job search.

If you obtain a position through this program, you should plan to attend the Summer Orientation on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, which will be held at a location in Tampa (to be determined) from 8:30 AM-11:30 AM. Summer OJT/Internship allows you to receive up to one full elective credit for successful completion of your work experience, based on the total number of hours that you work. While the OJT/Internship period lasts for 5 weeks (June 14-July 21), it is possible that you and your employer may mutually agree to extend your employment with the business for a longer period.

Please see Mrs. Usher for additional details.
