This scholarship is for African Americans with a 3.0 or higher GPA who are in the 9th grade and who qualify for free or reduced lunch. This is a Florida Prepaid scholarship under the 4-Year Florida College Plan. There are 28 colleges in Florida that accept this plan. The following documents will be requested from student finalists by the Foundation during the February/March 2015 review period: 1) Copy of your social security card 2) Proof of financial need - 2014 taxes. The parent that claims you as a dependent on their 2014 taxes must provide a copy of the 1st page of their 1040 tax form. If your parents do not file a 1040 tax form, then proof of disability or SSI will be accepted.
